ALESSANDRO CELLI - il regista

Born in Rome in 1976, Alessandro Celli attended the London Film School under the supervision of Mike Leigh.
He refined his natural talent for directing actors, by signing several short films and commercials, for the Blue Suede Shoots, a production company owned by Carla Mori. Alessandro has won over 30 Italian and foreign film festivals, proving that these short films are certainly some of the most interesting releases in the international filming world, of this last period. Fine Corsa and Uova have been awarded with the Menzione Speciale (Special Mention) at the Nastri d’Argento 2007, where for the first time in the history of this award, two films by the same director have entered the short-list.
On April 19th 2008 Uova won the David di Donatello 2008 as best short film with an unanimous vote by the whole jury. Their comment was, that in only five minutes, the film, told a complete and touching story as if it were a long film.
